2012 Trenton Small Business Week

19th Annual Trenton Small Business Week (TSBW)
October 15 – 18, 2012

The City of Trenton wishes to present its 19th Annual Trenton Small Business Week from October 15th to October 18th in the City of Trenton.  The TSBW is a weeklong celebration of activities for business owners, entrepreneurs, and individuals especially those starting or changing careers.

The TSBW attracts upwards of 5,000 persons to the Capital City from the tri-state area each year.  It offers free business seminars, the Mayor’s Small Business Awards, the Kick-Off and Networking Breakfast, the Mercer County Regional Chamber of Commerce Expo held in the Sun National Bank Center, a TD Bank Networking Reception, and the Capital City Real Estate Reception among other events.

The free workshops and networking events are held in downtown Trenton but the participants are drawn from throughout New Jersey, parts of New York and eastern Pennsylvania.

The events are planned each year by the TSBW Committee, a volunteer group of business and government professionals. The free seminars and roundtables are carefully researched by the TSBW Committee and targeted to reach diverse audiences.  Topics can include small business financing, marketing, use of social media, resources for Veterans, making the most of government resources, tourism, and government procurement.

The Kick-Off Breakfast on Monday morning offers a keynote speaker, a networking event, and the Mayor’s Small Business Awards.  A full description of the events will be presented on the TSBW website at www.smallbizweek.com in coming weeks.

Sponsors for the TSBW include the City of Trenton, Mercer County, the Mercer Regional Chamber of Commerce, the Trenton Downtown Association, the Princeton Regional Chamber of Commerce, the College of New Jersey Small Business Development Center, New Jersey Economic Development Authority, TD Bank, the Times, the Trentonian, Thomas Edison State College, and many more business partners.
